Surprise and Spoil

Surprise and Spoil

A surprise party .. yes they still exist Before we headed to Pattaya for the main event, we stopped off in Ban Chang to surprise a mate for his 60th birthday. It’s getting harder and harder to do these days, with instant messaging and all. I think we pulled it off as he seemed genuinely surprised. But then while he was probably expecting a quiet night in, he had to rush around and get music, drinks and seats sorted pronto. It was a fun Friday night. Fiesta del Fifty

Fiesta del Fifty

I’m officially an old fart. I recently celebrated turning 50! The half-tonne in cricketing terms. A few years back I thought I wouldn’t make it – but I did! It’s much harder now to keep things under wrap in this digital age, but the missus…

She even got me a cake. Too sweet (the cake that is 5551) I returned the kindness, buying my teerak2 1 baht of gold. We stayed at Villa San Pee Seua on the Ping river. It was a lovely spot but quite a way out of town – they had a boat that would make the trip in every afternoon and this was a great way…
