Married six years today! Well done us.
I remember it well – had to be up early that morning to get ready for the monk ceremony which was a beautiful way to start the day.
Then heading to Bang Rak to complete the formalities.
Finally the reception – we really stuffed up there, having it on a pay-day Friday and Bangkok put on some of her worst traffic ever with folks stuck in two-hour taxi rides from hell. We had the easy part, just standing around and thinking no-one was coming 555.
My father would pass away only a few weeks later – I don’t need to remember that date, but I’m so glad he was there to share in our special day.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing – marriage isn’t easy and takes work.
As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another.
Being married to you has made me a better person. Less of an asshole.
I think we’re traveling OK – sure life would be better if we weren’t battling cancer right now but you have to take the good with the bad.
I believe I was meant to meet you in this lifetime and a lot of pieces needed to be moved around the board for that to happen.
A fortune-teller told us we meet in a previous life. I believe it and if need be I’ll find you in the next one, no matter how hard.
Love you babe, have a great day today!
