Jim’s Burgers and Beer is located at Ari Sampan 3 – I’m pretty sure the taxi went the wrong way as it took us forever to get there.
The intimate setting provides a nice vibe – probably the best so far in the Bangkok burger quest. Get there early (like 6-ish) if you want to grab a table as the place fills up fast.
We hit the place on what we thought would be a quiet night between Xmas and New Year – but there will still plenty of punters around, and when a French family of 5 were told they would have to wait for an hour to get their grub they up and left.
If you’re hungry don’t delay in putting your order in after being seated.
A great beer selection, including draft. We attacked the beer first and called in some appetizers to ease the stomach pains.
Suds: Grisette (one of new favorites!), Weihenstephan, Hacklberg (4 pints for the price of 3) and a few local craft brews including Stone ParaXtranormal.
Onion rings and Beef Quesadilla to munch on.
Then we hit the burgers, opting for the smaller variety. Don’t ask me which ones, can’t remember. Even now, burgers not that memorable – but nothing wrong with ’em, if you get my drift.
Checkbin, krup! – THB 3,234 incl tax, of which 2500 or so was beer. Given we were there for 4 ½ hours, not bad value
Good music, great vibe, cold draft and well presented decent food.
Worth a visit, kids.
